ok - so i've posted on this before - but i feel as though it's an important point to be brought up again. this country is run by old white men. the entire political system is made up of these fools. it's really incredible to me. anytime there is an expert needed, or a consultant brought in - guess what - it's always an old white male. shocking. this fact breaks me up in 2 different ways. first - it makes me feel like i should just throw in the towel now because i am not old or male and therefore my opinion seems to be un-important. and eventually yes, one day i will be old - but i will never ever be a male (and really, i'm ok with that - you couldnl't pay me to be a guy - ick), and honestly how many old white women are in power these days? damn.

on the other hand, by storming off aren't i just letting the old white men win? isn't this the way they play their game? they ignore and berate all non- old white men (except for the young white men, they only ignore them sometimes - for they realize that they will someday become the old white men) - and we can't take it forever, so most of us give up and leave - which just enforces the old white man grip on power. i'm convinced they pull all white males out for a special class at the end of college to fill them in on the secret and they all consipre to maintain their hold.

and the worst part about this is that i think it's totally true - no consipracy theory here - i've seen it in action. i've said it before, i'll say it again - i am so over old white men.

you know you're a grown up when you start getting christmas cards from companies . . .ugh.
