hello world! today i write as one of those mysterious "young people" between the ages of 25 and 35. we all of course know that i am NOT 25, nor am i close to being 25 - which is a very important point to make this week - but i do feel like i will someday be a person who is 25 and i probably understand a 25 year olds perspective better than say, someone really old - like 40 or 50 :)

the topic i will be discussing is one of my favorites - social security. everyone in the dem family is all up in arms and pissy about the fact that young people (the one age demographic the dmes have total control over) are supportive of bush's plan for privitization. they don't understand why young people want to destroy social security - how can they talk to these "young people" who don't understand how important social security is to old people.

well old white men of dc(i.e. "the man" or "the establishment") let it be known that us "young people" do not believe in you or social security. did you know that more young people believe in UFOs than believe we will be receiving social security when we retire? i know no one my age who is not planing on a social security-free retirement (and i know a lot of people). why do we support bush's privitization? because it's a PLAN. that's right - a PLAN. something the democrats do not have. we would actually like to have social security - but we know that the way things are going we're going to get royally screwed. we will pay into the system our entire lives, losing hundreds of thousands of dollars a person - for what? so that once we hit 70 we are screwed by the man. there will be no checks for us when we get there - just sorry excuses about baby boomers.

so democrats, please, for god's sake, stop going around screaming about how everything with social security is fine - it's not fine for people my age. you need to tell us what your PLAN is. and we'll probably like your PLAN better than Bush's PLAN - but we need a PLAN one way or the other. making stupid t-shirts is not the answer. and anyone who thinks it is is obviously just another old white man.
