hello all! so i know everyone has been waiting anxiously for my analysis of the debate, so you can stop refreshing my blogspot - here's my take on it: good. i think kerry had a very strong preformance, but more importantly bush had a very weak one. this should not be a huge surprise to anyone - but here's the good part - bush managed to fail his expectations, which means that bush had expectations - which is huge in and of itself! let's all remember 2000 . . . gore had to be perfect to match expectations and bush had to show up and maybe not fall over in order to beat his expectations . . . it's nice to see the tables turning! so last night was great - we laid out an awesome plan and probably convinced some of those silly undecided voters to go our way! (did anyone see the daily show's bit on undecided voters? samantha bee rocks)

so what next? first off, we need to acknowledge that fact that kerry kicked bush's ass, but then we need to lay down that bush just had an off night, so that he maintains high expectations going into the next debates . . . this is VERY important . . . we also have the VP debate next week on oct. 5 - where really, there is not contest, but i do love watching john edwards speak - so i'll be watching! and we've still got two more debates to go after that! it's going to be a long month folks . . .

side note: when watching the debate it is dangerous to ones health to take a drink everytime bush says "terror" "9/11" "safety" or "security," as i discovered.
