hey world. i don't have anything in particular to blog about today. but lucky you - i couldn't help myself! it looks as though condi rice is our new secretary of state. damn. i've never been so disappointed in a woman getting such a great job - i always figured, you know, even if they're a republican i can always trust a woman more. but not condi. she, like the rest of the cabinet, are all puppets so bush can just do whatever the hell he wants without someone like colin powell to be like, "umm, excuse me, are we seriously going ot invade this country?" and at least put up a little fight - even if he lost in the end. it's just depressing.

in other news - i've decided to stay silent on taxes this year. last year i was utterly confused to learn that most people my age had never done their taxes and had no idea how to. this is just ridiculous. not only is it insanely easy but these are probably people who have never worked before in their lives - unlike the rest of us, who have been in the working world for coming up on 7 years now (god, if that's not depressing . . . ). i'm excited because this is the first time ever that i've only had one job in the past year! normally i have like 3 or 4 W2s! woo hoo! but yes, like i've been doing since i was 16, i will be filing my own taxes damn it. where are these parents that do their kids taxes for me? why didn't my parents??

i decided to walk to work in my converse today so as to protect my poor feet from the 0 degree weather outside, i brought my nice heels in my bag with every intention of changing into them - but for some reason it's 4:45 and i still have my converse on. whoops.
