at this point there is no use in apologizing for the lack of blogs . . .

anyway - the past 2 weeks have been one of those times where everything in your life has been up for questioning and changing. when everything can change if you want it to. i now have several new life options to look at (and as dad tells me, options are always good)

1. the DCCC (dem org that runs house campaigns) has offered me a job as a finance director on a house campaign this cycle. i just have to find a candidate i fit with. this would involve leaving dc, packing all my belongings in a car (which i would have to purchase) and driving off to wherever the campaign is. obviously this is an AMAZING opportunity and i would be dumb to not accept it. so i did. i am now in the waiting period.

2. caitlin, one of my roommates from senior year, is graduatin (she was a year younger) and 3 weeks ago she was headed home but she was just offered a job on the hill and is now staying in DC and probably living in my building! we would have been really living together had this dccc not come up but if she is just downstairs it'll be like we're living together! so that is awesome.

3. so i'm feeling pretty together - there was obviously a week where everything felt like it was colliding, but as of like 2 days ago i thoughts i had my new life direction figured out and pretty well under control (aside from the whole moving to a new state with a car i don't yet own nor know how i'll pay for) and then BAM. ndn offers me a promotion and a raise. gotta love it.

so there you go. my life - always good - always complicated. but on the upside these are good decisions to have to make (god i sound like my father) and it just proves what i've known for ever - i rock. so please, if you have any advice shoot me an email or comment on the blog!

and now for some politics - i'm sure everyone hears about the dc security thing this week - well it turns out that the fed gov't never though to inform dc of what was going on. poor anthony williams' office is less than 2 blocks from the white house and no one thought to tell him a plane had violated air space. poor kid. so typical - the gov't totally abuses dc.

and if john bolton gets confirmed i don't know what i'll do.

i'm so done with this town (for now).
