hey all. i know you've all been waiting for my next blog on my new life. and i promise once this transition is over i will be better blogger because i know everyone will be insanely curious about the race and when and where they should give money for it! i am finishing up my time at ndn - 7 more days to go! my last day is june 29th - a wed. i will be leaving dc the next morning, june 30th so it's all officially happening! i managed to pack a whooping 3 boxes this weekend, but also found time to play tennis and see crash - which is a fabulous movie that everyone must go and see NOW. seriously - it was incredible and i recommend it very highly. but obviously i need to start packing (and throwing shit away)at a heightened pace.
but before i do that i need to share a life revelation. while playing tennis this weekend i noticed that i frequently hit the ball with everything i had and it often ended up outside the tennis court, either over the fence into a soccer field or nearly knocking out a biker or hitting a car window. my friend sarah who i was playing with made a comment to me that moderation didn't seem to be strong point. and it hit me - bam. i am not a moderate person. i hit tennis balls as hard as a can, i race everyone in my lane in the pool every morning, i work as hard and as fast as i can, i would and could eat and entire gallon of ice cream, i own over a hundred movies, i will pick up my entire life and move to connecticut to work for a guy i've known for 3 hours. obviously moderation is not a part of my life at all. so yes, i'm sure all of you have picked up on this personality trait much earlier - you win. but it's a new thought for me and i'm enjoying it quite a bit. and it's nice to know there's a reason i've never been able to handle the "everything in moderation" lifestyle.

Sunlight, drop me a note if you start a blog in Connecticut. I'm ex-Connecticut, and I have friend who is starting a blog in Conn., and may want to link; moreover, I'm thinking of starting a former dc section on dcblogs.
