hey hey world. so i know you've all been refreshing this page to get more news on the job front - and i'm sorry i've been so lacking in the news of late - but as always, my life has been insanely busy! this week featured the a's coming in town to play the nationals - i went to all 3 games - which was just lovely, cause the a's lost all 3 games - although we gave them a good run for their money in the 9th last night thanks to my future husband bobby crosby. check out his amazing triple last night. although i have to admit it's getting harder and harder to be the "other" in these baseball parks - granted i am an easy target - i stand out pretty well in my a's jersey and hat - but people can be downright mean! and really, how long have they been nationals fans, 2 months? please. and it's so much easier to be a fan when they're winning - it takes real character and dedication to keep showing up and cheering when you're last in your division. but i would like to send a big thanks to the people who were brave enough to come to the games this week with me - jacob, joe, caitlin (2 games - gold medal!), libby and berko (who always comes to the games with me - but this time, thanks to his RFK connections, we got free food!).

ok - so wednesday i flew up to connecticut to chat with the candidate up there, and things seem pretty good on that front. nothing is for sure, but i'm hoping i'll have some answers for everyone early next week - i promise! although i am getting nervous about this whole "leaving dc and my entire social life" thing - oh well, i'll have a car - my car can be my friend.

i'd also like to report that i am still swimming every morning - which is lovely! there is something about starting your day at work after already lapping a guy swimming freestyle while you're doing breastoke, or using a pull bouy . . . sucker.
