hey kids. just a quick blog this morning to send some love over to ms. emily horne who came uncomfortable close with the misery that is the 20 something male mind the other day. we all know what a terrifying and scaring experience that can be - so give it up to her for not totally flipping out, but acting like the fabulous and mature woman we all know she is (while pointing out that said 20 something male is neither fabulous or mature).
things in connecticut are still zipping forward at an alarmingly slow/quick pace depending on the day. last saturday i was treated to a lovely day of kayaking on the beautiful long island sound (who knew you could use the word "beautiful" in association with long island!?). so i've discovered that if you drive an hour outside of hartford connecticut can be nice. or maybe it's because spending the day on a beach reminds me of another place besides connecticut, hmm where could i be thinking of . . oh right - HOME. oh well. also - can i just say that having to type out connecticut is very annoying. well i'm heading back to california in a mere 10 days!!! 10 days and i will flee this place for 2 whole weeks to indulge myself in some much needed west coast love. this will of course include the annual mom and anna trip up to ashland to eat, shop and enjoy some superb shakespeare. and at least this year we won't have to run all over town (which i guess really isn't that far) trying to find tour results.
saw wedding crashers the other night. very funny. set in DC. made me sad. anyone know of any movies set in hartford? thought not.

You get used to typing Connecticut after a while, and if not you can always switch it up and go with "the Nutmeg State" =]
