hello all - spastic blog ahead for today! sorry it's been so long - i have to admit i've been waiting for inspiration and not much has come my way. but i got hit by something last night - lucky you.

however, first you MUST read this article by Paul Krugman in today's times - it's right on the money. it explains how bush is fooling the public on social security the same way he fooled them on iraq (i say them, cause i was so not fooled.

on to the exciting news. my life is such a sitcom - but that's always one of those things you say jokingly, knowing that really your life is in no way actually exaggerated and entertaining enough for prime time. unless you're me. in which case you would have been falling off your chair last night when you saw a commercial for FOX's newest comedy sitcome - "Life on a Stick" - i'll give you 2 guesses what it's about and the first one doesn't count. the main character works at a mall food court at a wacky place where they make c*rndogs (it's a bad word where i come from) and make their employees where outrageous uniforms in red, white, blue and yellow stripes with a huge hat! Crazy! i don't even know where to begin. i guess there's nothing to humble you like seeing your old job not only mocked by the people you know but society in general. it was one thing when it was just a sketch on mad tv, but a prime time show? that hurts . . .

alright, well that's it for now. i've got a great weekend coming up and hopefully it will help me forget all about this embarassement. my only saving grace is that phone calls from people in high school have not started to pile on - yet. i'm sure once the show starts and people see it i will get plenty of nasty emails - so thanks, in advance.

oh - and a final hurrah for randomness - i guy i used to know in high school (Chris Jarvis, for those of you who would know) and who i haven't talked to since graduation in 2000 just emailed me because he knew i was in DC and is coming out here for work for a few days. he googled me and found my work email. technology is amazing.
