hi all! so - good news - today i was officially hired! my official title is DC Development Assistant (i believe) sounds good - right? well either way i am excited! i've been at NDN since sept and this semester has been great (much better than last sem with the intern from hell - tom)! curious about ndn? check it out at www.newdem.org. i am mass thrilled about getting a job, less than thrilled about becoming a grown up - but i can always live in denial =) now begins the hunt for what to do with all the extra time that i'll have! i don't quite know what to do with myself. i need to develop a hobby. i think they are starting a softball team at work, i don't know how good at softball i am - but i want to wait and see who else is going to be on it, right now some of my non-favorite people are and i'd like to wait and see if there who else joins up.

the apt is coming along, hopefully more news on that later!

i have 4 papers to write this weekend, and next week is my last week of classes, EVER. how scary is that? i wonder where the last 22 years of my life went . . . but before i can graduate and go completely into the working world i still have 4 papers, 2 finals, 10 class sessions, and 1 thesis to go! so while it's happening fast, there is still a lot that has to get done! but i am not worried, cause after that i can read what i want and watch movies all the time and my life will be a blessed existence! score.

i rock. i have been blogging almost everyday. yay! tonight i write about bobby crosby, the new love of my life. for those of you who don't know - he is the new amazing short stop on the As and i would marry him in a heartbeat, if only because of his amazing double play the other nite. sigh. life has been good lately, and the sun is still out - which is amazing. i am tan (again) and happy. except for having to run in the heat of the day thanks to my pain-inducing aerobics teacher. i will pass out in that class someday, today i just couldn't see very well. perhaps wed . . .

i guess that is all i have to say. i don't want to do my thesis presentation. but tomorrow i am apt hunting and so i don't think i'll have much time. i want matt frisbee to get into gw law school so he can be my roommate. and cause he should get what he deserves. which is all good things. but i'm off to powerpoint. yay.

it is beautiful outside today! i sat outside for a few hours and got burned - sweet. i can't remember if i've already blogged all this today. hmmm. i am getting old. my bad if this is a double. my roommates emily and caitlin and i went on this gorgeous two hour walk over to virgina and the jefferson memorial and back to campus . . very nice. but i have odd style tanlines on my back, thanks to my hair and a tag that would not stay down. yee haw. then we had an AMAZING dinner - much thanks to em and mulli.

on a sep note - it looks as if we have had another student death at gw, 5th in 5 months. somehow a freshman guy fell off his 4th floor balcony in hova. as a former hova resident i find it very disturbing . . . i remember living there the CFs used to tell us all the time to keep our sliding doors locked because they didn't want anyone falling or jumping off. we all thought it was funny then, not so much now. it's very odd how fleeting life is. i could go off on one of those "life is short, don't take a day for granted" rants. and i do believe that. and so the lesson i take from this is that i should not ignore people who have been important to me. that if i don't e-mail them soon there may be reasons out of my control preventing me from e-mailing them and so i should be the bigger person and do it. while this may seem like a shallow thing to take away from the loss of a life, i think that each person needs to take what they can, and this is the thing that needs fixing in my life for me to be satisfied. everything else in my life is settled. so take from that what you can. there is too much death in this world.

Hello all! it is sunday - and GORGEOUS! it is 88 degrees outside today, and as soon as my laundry is out of the dryer (15 min) I will be outside enjoying it! i am quite excited! yesterday i spent 6 hours in the library and i have 35 pages written on my thesis. that's right, 35. i rock. i am amazing. today i will edit it, in the sun. yay! i don't have much else to say, except brag that i wrote that much - small things make me happy! so yay, 35. plus - shout out to my brother and his SDC buggy team! they got 6th place (out of over 20) teams! go nick!!
