hola! ok, so this is officially my last post as a college kid. odd. those words have defined me for so long. now i'm what - a working stiff? a twenty-something? i can no longer just define myself as a student . . . i haven't not been a student since i was 4. 18 years of my life is over . . . scary. alright well i don't mean to be depressing - it's just an interesting state of mind to be in.

so i went to dinner tonight and walking home i realize how uncomfortable my shoes are . . . so i take them off and walk home barefoot. nice to know that even after 4 years the east coast hasn't sucked my cali soul away from me. being barefoot is just soo free-ing. i dunno - it's possible i'm crazy.

so here's my stance on the rumsfeld thing. as much as people think that this is a death meld for bush it isn't. rumsfeld is taking all the blame - it's becoming rummys problem, not bush's. what happened to "the buck stops here" ??? in the end bush is responsible for what this country does while he is president. he is commander-in-chief, he is the top dog in the military - he is the one who should be held responsible for the travesties in iraq - not rumsfeld. this is playing out the way bush wants. rummy is being a good soldier and taking the blame, deflecting from bush. we don't want him to resign, we want him in until nov so people have another reason to vote against bush. which let's face it, what most people will be doing. in that sense i mean that they won't be voting FOR kerry, but AGAINST bush. that's what i'm doing anyway . . . either way, let's stop letting bush off the hook . . . blame the top dog.

hey kids. sorry it's been a bit since i got around to this - i blame finals. finals and a thesis. but i won't mention those ever again, since I AM DONE. i spent this last weekend relaxing on the farm, trying to get up some sleep for this crazy week ahead of me! way too much going on - but i'm young - i'll survive.

work is going great, for this of you in the DC area check out the back of the newest Washington Monthly - you'll see a GREAT ad for a GREAT event on May 20th. NDN's annual meeting - we are hella big time now. curious about ndn? want to know what i've been spending so much time doing? check us out at www.newdem.org - we rock. looks as though i'll finally be moving out of the intern area (cheers of joy erupt) and i'll get a real desk, like a grownup! so that's frightening on a whole other level. speaking of which, one of my new summer interns (of which i have 3, all for me to boss around) e-mailed me to see what he would be doing this summer - which is fine, except for that he called me "Ms. Morozovsky" i don't even know who that is. let's just say it took me by complete surprise and if anyone ever calls me that again i'll pass out.

graduation / commencement is this weekend. i can't believe how the time has flown by! i feel like honestly i was walking into hova just the other day. so much time has passed, and i feel like the only thing that has grown is my alcohol tolerance. awesome. yay college.

my roommate blythe has a blog now too (check her out at blythepurdin.blogspot.com) and she was blogging about the last friends episode. i have to say i have been extremely lucky these past 4 years to have met the people that i have. there are many incredible people in the world (and a few not so incredible, whose names shall not be mentioned - but i'm sure you know who they are) and i have truly been blesses in so many ways to have gotten to be friends with all these people. i have been lucky enough to know people like matt frisbee and berko since freshman year and i know i owe many thanks to them for getting me to this point. steph was a savior sophomore year, without her i'm sure i would have gone completely crazy. and i don't know if i could have survived being a CF or a senior if it weren't for emily, blythe, glenna, sam, tom, caitlin, vita, chester, vikas, jmiah, tamara, erika, miriam and of course mitch. and i seriously could not have done this year without emily, blythe and caitlin. honestly girls. thank you.

so that's the sap for now. i had a lull at work, but now i have way too much to do, as it goes at NDN. score. adios.
