hey all! today i moved out of the intern area. intense. i've only been in the new office for like, hmm, 3 hours - but so far so good. i did manage to give myself a nasty shock when trying to plug in my computer - let me say once again just how smart i am with electronics. either way - we are getting out of work early (again) and it figures the only two days i'll ever be able to leave early are the days when i can't get into home until 6:30 . . . sweet. either way i thought i'd use the internet to keep everyone updated on my life. this sun i'm heading to ikea to search out a bed, dressers, table and chairs. yay! jacob rocks. i'm also going shopping with courtney this weekend and seeing troy tonight! and jacob said we could go to a movie on saturday . . . and we all know how i feel about 2 movies in one weekend! heavan! now if i could only get to one on sunday . . . hmmmm. either way i think i'm going to leave work and do some reading (of a great trashy chick novel i inherited from emily's friend jill) outside and breathe some non-office air. i'm going to bullfeathers with courtney and a friend for dinner. yay. sorry no exciting news today - biggest thing on my mind is that tomorrow i don't have to set an alarm. thank god for fridays.

hi all! well the 4th NDN Annual Meeting seemed to go off fairly well - we had 143 people there which was great! we had great speakers like hillary clinton, terry mcauliffe, joe andrews, markos zuniga, mike mccurry - all sorts of good people. i enjoyed it mainly because i got to see hillary . . . i didn't get to meet her as planned because she had an intense coughing fit in the middle of her speech about the importance of health care (of the irony . . .) and had to leave early. damn. i also got to leave work early - at 4:00! a minor miracle! yay! but i'm trapped without a room until courtney gets home around 6:30, which is soon! so what does a homeless girl in DC do? go to gap, of course . . . i figure that now sine i am a stock holder (great grad gift from mom and dad!) i have an obligation to shop there . . . it's almost like an investment! right? that's what i figure anyway . . .

i'm moving into my new place on the 26th - i've decided i will move in then because . . . I AM GOING TO IKEA THIS WEEKEND!!!!!! i LOVE ikea. i will be buying my bed and will have it delivered on the 26th - even if i don't build the whole damn bed that nite i will have a mattress, which is honestly what i expected to sleep on anyway! so i come out a winner! so yay.

one last pol thought before i take off . . . after the meeting today i realize that i think too much inside the beltway. i have been in DC too long - that insiders mentality really gets to you! like i'm sure it's awesome that i know who david brock and joe andrew are, but i'm also sure that no one outside DC gives a shit who they are. so that leaves one to ponder the importance of inside the beltway knowledge, when we have to acknowledge the importance of outside the beltway people. so there you go - my populist thought for the day.

hey all. so today was my first day in the real world. i left GW yesterday with 12 old hangers and a toilet bowl brush. for the time being i am crashing at a friends place near campus. however i find that i will be not be spending much time there, give it's almost 8pm and i am still at work (leaving soon, no worries - i wanted to use some internet while i had it). i found out i won't be moving into my new place until the 26th, which is later than i wanted. but whatever. i have to figure out my plans for the next few weeks - i'm hoping to count on chester and berko to help me move on memorial day weekend.

that's all for now, i need to work on finishing these nametags and RSVP lists before heading home. i believe i'm the only one left in the office. sweet.

thursday i'm meeting my idol, hillary clinton. i can not wait.

stay tuned for more updates from the only homeless girl in DC wearing all gap.
