florida update: all these hurricanes are bad. not just bad for the people of florida, bad for the people in the entire country. with florida in turmoil in this month, and probably in relief turmoil for the next there is no room for politics. people don't want to hear about it when their house has been destroyed, and rightfully so. however, they will be seeing plenty of 2 politicians. and you'll never guess who - but they both have the same last name . . . that's right - jeb and george. with hurricane relief the number one issue in the state there are only 2 people who can give it - jeb and george. they will both come off looking incredibly good - there is no way the bushes are going to let this opportunity to literally pay off swing voters go past them. floridians will be lost, and the bush boys will save them - how would that affect your vote? there is no way that kerry can compete with that. for all of his better policy stances he is not the president (yet) and therefore cannot give aid to an emergency situation, unless he gets his wife to cut a big check - but either way bush wins. long story short: this seriously hurts kerry's chances in florida, which as we all know is a KEY battleground state - one of the big 3. and i guess bush finally has some legitimate proof that God really is on his side . . .

today i'm going to blog about campaign ads - get excited! ads have obviously been a big part of the election this year, mainly with the help of the swift boaters and 527s. so i thought i'd take a minute and compile some of my favorite ads for everyone to check out - as well as some other good things to watch if you're bored on the internet - so here goes.
1. Official Kerry-Edwards Ads
2. Official Bush-Cheney Ads (always good to know what the other side is up to)
3. NDN Ads
4. DNC Ads
5. Texans for Truth (the dem group running ads about bush LYING about his national guard service - this is a really great ad - check it out)
6. MoveOn Ads (featuring famous directors - this week's by Richard Linklater of Waking Life fame)
7. Will Ferrell as Bush in ACT Ad (absolutly hilarious!)
8. Daily Show Clip (Bush's words speak louder than his actions - a must watch)
9. The Daily Show in general (in case you missed it the night before - you can always find clips on the website)
10. Daily Kos (ok, it's not about ads - but this is a great site to read in order to keep informed and up-to-date.)
so there you go - ten great sites to waste some time on - while getting informed! check them out and then let me know what you thought! share other sites you think are good!
and thanks for help with run against bush! with your help i'm at $85! feel left out? go ahead and give me a hand. and don't worry, i can always raise more than my $100 goal! thanks all!

quick post today - thanks to Courtney Collard and my dad for both donating to my run against bush campaign. I'm almost half-way to my goal of $100. want to help? check it out.
on another note - don't worry about kerry. i know i've said this before, but seriously - i know he's behind and stuff now, and that sucks. but it's ok - bush still doesn't break 50 in almost any poll - no incumbent has ever not broken 50 at this point in the race. there have been some changes in the kerry camp, but let's remember when he mixed up his staff during the primaries - he won! i'm off to volunteer at Kerry-Edwards HQ tonight, the first night of my to-be normal routine of tues and thurs nights there. we all have to do everything we can. keep the faith.
and word to my brother for being a proud democrat (albeit a california registered proud democrat) in one of the 3 cities that matter in this election, pittsburgh.
